On November 8, 2022, the four-day 28th Russian METAL-EXPO kicked off at the Expocentre Exhibition Center, Moscow.
As the leading exhibition of METAL processing and metallurgy industry in Russia, Metal-Expo is organized by Russian Metal Exhibition Company and supported by Russian Steel Suppliers Association. It is held annually. It is expected that the exhibition area will reach 6,800 square meters, the number of visitors will reach 30,000, and the number of exhibitors and participating brands will reach 530.
Russia International Metal and Metallurgical Industry Exhibition is one of the world’s famous metallurgical exhibition, is currently the largest metallurgical exhibition in Russia, once a year. More than 400 companies from all over the world exhibited the most advanced equipment and technology and a full range of products from ferrous and non-ferrous metal industries. The professional visitors are mainly engaged in ferrous and non-ferrous metal products, construction, power and engineering technology, transportation and logistics, machinery manufacturing and other industries. The exhibitors are mainly from Russia. In addition, there are also international exhibitors from China, Belarus, Italy, Turkey, India, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, the United States, South Korea, Iran, Slovakia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Fasteners manufactured in Russia are mainly exported to neighboring countries, such as Kazakhstan and Belarus. In 2021, Russia exported 77,000 tons of fasteners with an export value of $149 million. Due to the vigorous development of Russian automobile, aviation and machinery industry in recent years, the supply of Russian fasteners cannot meet the demand and they are extremely dependent on imports. According to statistics, Russia imported 461,000 tons of fasteners in 2021, with an import amount of 1.289 billion US dollars. Among them, the Chinese mainland is Russia’s largest source of fastener imports, with a market share of 44 percent, far ahead of Germany (9.6 percent) and Belarus (5.8 percent).
